Greetings.
As I proceed with getting my new book ready to submit to Amazon for publication, I am seeking assistance .
The front cover of the book, including title and subtitles, is done …

However, the back cover needs some more work. But that’s not what this email is about.
I am putting together a team of 10 individuals who would be willing to read a draft, not as copy editors, but with a view to writing a review when the book is actually up there on Amazon.
You do not need any skills as a sub-editor or copy editor – all that’s required is a willingness to read the copy that would be provided, and then write a review (in your own honest assessment) about the book when it’s published.
Your advanced copy would be in pdf or epub format, depending on your preference – the epub file being specifically for your reader, if that’s your preference.
If you join the team, as soon as the book is on line, you would receive a link from me to the spot where the review can be written (or pasted in).
However, it’s important that those who offer to join the team should have a mailing address in the United States. The reason for that is because mailing even a small paperback book beyond America is incredibly costly – like over $45 to send a book to New Zealand.
But for the team members in the US, once the book is published, I will send each one who does write a review, a free signed copy of the paperback.
If you do join the team, I’d suggest that once you’ve read the book, then immediately write your review while it’s fresh in mind, and save it so you can copy and paste it when it comes time to add your review on Amazon.
If this is something you’d like to participate in, please email me at contact (at) northstarnewsletter.com, with the words “Team Player” as the subject. Also tell me whether you’d prefer a pdf or epub version.
Sincerely,
Michael Knight.
PS – Reviews are important because those who are searching for such a book are a potential buyer, and they are immediately influenced by the reviews they read. That’s why I suggest that the review be your honest “take” on the book, in your own words. I will not edit them in any way.
Another aspect is that Amazon takes note of reviews, and this influences how their algorithm places the book in the hierarchy – so I am doing my best, with your help, to ensure it tops the “best seller” list.
Thanks again – Michael.
