It’s Easter 2025, which many sincerely believe to be the time to celebrate the miracle of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
I’m happy to celebrate that, but I do have some associated thoughts about religion, and God.
And BTW, the giants on Easter Island are simply used to illustrate the fact that there is a LOT about our past that remains a mystery – such as why is the word Elohim replaced with “God” or “Lord” in the Bible?
While I do not claim that what I have to say is absolutely accurate, or the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, my current understandings are based on years of research, learning from others, personal experience, and drawing my own conclusions.
For starters, others believe the very name, Easter, is but a version of the word, Ishtar. I have read that she was one of the ETs known as the Annunaki, or perhaps also one of the Elohim – a woman of science, a geneticist.
The Annunaki came here to mine for gold. They needed a workforce, and eventually succeeded in blending their DNA with that of a hominid species that existed on Terra. She got it right by using a clay receptacle as part of the process. Does that sound like the Bible story that God created Man from clay?
In the past, long ago, for those (now dismissed as pagans) the new moon at this time of year, signaled then and signals now the start of a new year – a new year of four seasons. Where our calendars tell us a new year starts in the middle of Winter (January 1) to them the New Year began with the oncoming of Spring.
As Nature began to awaken from the long sleep of winter, it was their time to celebrate. The rabbit was a symbol of fecundity, and the egg a reminder (at least to me) that every living thing, be it plant or fish, fowl or animal, humans included, starts a new or next life as a seed of its own species.
With the onset of Spring, after the long months of the Winter “death,” which some call the dreaming time, much of sleeping Nature is again resurrected in the everlasting cycle of Life.
But, where does Life come from? Where did it start? How did the God of the Bible populate this world with every living thing – and in only seven days (or, given a few million years as some would contend, as if speaking for God himself, despite the Bible saying explicitly that it only took 7 days, one of which he took off in order to rest from his great labors).
Frankly, I no longer subscribe to the religious concept of God, at all, and certainly not the belief that this entire planet was populated by millions – literally – of different species. All in seven days – with Sunday off.
Having come to that crossroads in my own evolution, I just had to ask, where did Life first start?
A Non-Judas Goat
Perhaps I first asked that question (to nobody listening) when I briefly saw a mist leave the body of a goat I had just shot. It was a mystery at the time, and I kept it to myself, until now.
I knew nothing then about what I know to be the invisible Life Force – an invisible energy which perhaps can best be described as akin to an invisible frequency that allows us to move the dial on an old radio and use our sense of hearing to listen to the chosen station.
The advent of television then gave us the ability to both listen and see at the same time what the appropriate frequency was – invisibly – activating the receiving television set.
If one starts to think about the Life Force, as per the death of that goat, the next question, of course, has to be “Who, or What, is broadcasting that signal? “
By way of an analogy, I spent a few years as a radio news newsreader, and you can rest assured that what listeners were receiving did in fact emanate from a source they, for the most part, never even thought about. I was the invisible – but fully conscious and active – source that they would never know or see.
The logical question then must be, precisely, who, or what, is “broadcasting” the invisible Life Force energy?
Your optional question is “since life as we know it exists, where and when and how did it start?
I started with that one, a very long time ago. But for the moment, I’ll stay with the experience of seeing, for a few seconds, the Life Force leaving that goat. I had deprived it of its Life force, and the body no longer had that invisible life energy
In the animal world, it’s Spring (and Easter) at the time when bears will come out of hibernation. Born with the intelligence of the Life Force within them, they had prepared for the coming winter time – as have ants, smart enough to spend the months of Spring, Summer and Fall (autumn) stocking up their underground nests, while the swallows of summer migrate to warmer climes. So do other avian species – some all but circumnavigating the entire planet, while whales in the oceans do much the same.
This intelligence, the urge to live, to survive, is common to all things.
Gardens Seeds and Wombs
Today, I began to plant seeds in my garden, and found myself wondering yet again at the intelligence within them. They may not be conscious beings as we are, but they surely have some form of intelligence.
Like caterpillars that encase themselves in a dark chrysalis, these seeds, now so tiny in the dark of the earth, will also experience metamorphosis. They too will respond to the Life Force within. They will grow and live their lives through its many changes. As do we – products of seed ourselves, developing in the dark of the womb – every cell in our developing body imbued with its own unique intelligence, just “knowing,” beyond our comprehension, how it must change from a mere stem cell to become one of billions that use the Life Force to become whatever their unique future role must be. A brain cell perhaps? A lung cell? A toe nail?
And I had nothing to do with that! I know nothing about how to digest food, how to repair a bleeding cut when shaving, or what it is that ensures that my five senses function.
A UFO Encounter
About 50 years ago I was once again out for a few days on my own, sleeping under the stars, doing my best to get over some truly traumatic events of the time.
My life had (temporarily) become a great example of that SHTF acronym. God had really pissed me off – to put it mildly – and I was most definitely an atheist.
Watching the stars, and satellites passing through at their standardized pace, I relaxed into a modicum of peace (apart from the pain in the thumb I had just accidentally cut to the bone while gathering grass and ferns for my bedding).
It was then that, through watering eyes, I noticed yet another satellite appear from a different quadrant, at a different speed than the others.
And then, it stopped, overhead.
I have no recollection of being abducted, as many others have reported. However, being somewhat telepathic myself, I am sure that telepathy was involved – from whoever they were, in that craft. I remember thinking, “whoever’s in that thing must be pretty intelligent – so why did they stop up there?”
The next thought I had was that “there’s a life force in everything” and in a heartbeat, I realized, without a doubt, that there was Life (with a capital L) in the grass around me, the tinkling stream alongside me, the bracken and ferns nearby, and even the invisible breeze…at which point I understood, completely, that my atheism was only and solely about the “god” of religion. The “god” that man had made in his image – or imagination.
As if it had done its job, whatever that was, that craft then moved again – not forward, but in reverse, quietly making its way back to a point between some distant stars, and dissolved into nothingness.
Intellect versus Intelligence
As I ponder Easter I think about the intelligence of everything, then realize I am using my intellect to question this innate intelligence. – then it occurs to me that the two words, though so similar, are not the same.
Intellect is simply one’s storehouse of one’s beliefs. For the most part, beliefs – such as the belief that Easter is only about the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection – have been accepted without question. And I mean that it never occurs to such people, sincere as they may be, to think outside the box of conformity and dogma. It seems to me they are afraid of offending the God they hope will save them – but I must also give many of those I know credit for their sincerity, for they have indeed had prayers answered, lives saved, or turned around onto a new and better future path.
What that tells me is that they have opened a direct connection – not through the intercession of any preacher, priest or religion. But I’ll forego the erudite sermon….
Even today’s scientists, as erudite as they may appear to be, live intellectually within their profession’s box of what is acceptable and agreed among their peers.
For example, their belief may be that Life itself began when two amoeba bumped into each other in a swamp. Somehow doing a Mr Spock mind meld, they combined, replicated, added more accidental improvements, melded together again and again with no preceding plan nor blueprint, and, voila, “Life” begins.
That belief, albeit presented as a theory awaiting confirmation, has been around for decades, if not centuries.
Scientists Find Life Precursor – Maybe
Does this BBC headline of just three days ago support their theory?
Scientists find ‘strongest evidence yet’ of life on distant planet.
“Scientists have found new but tentative evidence that a faraway world orbiting another star may be home to life. A Cambridge team studying the atmosphere of a planet called K2-18b has detected signs of molecules which on Earth are only produced by simple organisms.
“This is the second, and more promising, time chemicals associated with life have been detected in the planet’s atmosphere by Nasa’s James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). But the team and independent astronomers stress that more data is needed to confirm these results.
“The lead researcher, Prof Nikku Madhusudhan, told me at his lab at Cambridge University’s Institute of Astronomy that he hopes to obtain the clinching evidence soon.
“This is the strongest evidence yet there is possibly life out there. I can realistically say that we can confirm this signal within one to two years.”

Say What?
“K2-18b has detected signs of molecules which on Earth are only produced by simple organisms.”
My question, first asked many years ago, but never answered by science, is this – how do molecules and chemicals ever have the intelligence to do what they do, and anyway, where do “simple organisms” come from in the first place?
Well, having given a great deal of thought and study to this over the past 80 years, including that other theory about the Big Bang, while also including that experience involving a UFO I’ve come to a belief – indeed, a truth (as I see it).
To explain that as best I can, and considering this is Easter, I must first admit that I find the Bible to be as lacking in answers about the creation of life on this planet as anything these intellectual scientists have come up with.
The God of the bible is the One, they say, who sent his only begotten son to be crucified in order to save the rest of humanity – which is what Christians are basically celebrating this long weekend.
As I was told in Sunday School, if I gave my life to Jesus, he would save me (but you’d better watch out for Satan because he’ll tempt you into sin – and if you do sin, God on the throne in heaven, with Jesus alongside, will decide whether you go through the pearly gates…or off to hell – even if you DID give your life to Jesus to be “saved.”).
I was maybe seven years old, and out of fear, as I see it now, I did what I was told.
But as time passed, I started asking, what sort of father would have his only son killed on a cross at the behest of those who to this day claim to be the chosen of God – the Jews – which is too broad a subject to go into any further at this time.
Suffice to say while having always found the teachings of Jesus to be profound, I eventually became an atheist – until, because of that encounter with a UFO, I knew for a fact that my atheism was purely my rejection of the humanized God of the Bible.
Their version of God was that he would reward good people, but also punish them with hell for eternity if they ever stepped out of line. In certain parts of the Bible, he is indeed a bloodthirsty tyrant, sending plagues to the Egyptians, and killing off their kids. He even got super-ticked with the Israelites, telling them they should worship no others.
We were even told, by that religion, that we should fear God – the one who “so much loved the world”…!!!???
Instead, using the free will that I was born with, which means I had the right to make my own choices – including when it comes to what I might choose to believe, including about God – I realized, without a doubt, that God is anything but a humanlike physical entity with all the hang-ups and fears of any man or woman on this planet.
It is my sincere understanding that it is Man who has created God in his own image.
In Comes Grok
While slaving over this article, I continued my research, starting with a search reading “Bible, KJV, Elohim” and got this for starters:-
www.kingjamesbibleonline.org › Bible-Verses-AboutBIBLE VERSES ABOUT ELOHIM BY KJV BOOK ORDERBible verses related to Elohim from the King James Version (KJV) by Book Order – Sort By Relevance Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Oddly enough, the KJV that I then followed that link to, did not include the word Elohim.
I had previously looked up other online Bible verses, such as “Genesis 1:26 – “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:” As you’ve read previously, I rewrote that to say Man has created God in the image of man – thereby investing “God” with human attributes, such as being judgmental, being a jealous god, and “thou shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3).
Also this:- “And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.” (Judges 10:6).
This God, aka Elohim, was – according to the Bible – given to fits of displeasure and killing other people because they displeased him.
Grok This
I then opted to do a first-time tryout on Grok – the AI available to me as a user of X – because I was interested in the Elohim.
Here’s an excerpt from Grok’s answer to my question:- “Can you write an article, perhaps up to 1000 words, about the use of the word Elohim in the Jewish records (what book or books?) , but has for some reason (please explain) been translated as “Lord” or “God. And were the Elohim ETs?”
Grok responded in less than a minute. It was much longer, but here is the germane excerpt:
“The Hebrew word Elohim is one of the most significant and intriguing terms in Jewish scripture, appearing over 2,500 times and carrying profound theological weight. Found primarily in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh), Elohim is central to understanding Jewish conceptions of divinity, yet its translation as “Lord” or “God” in English Bibles has sparked debate, and fringe theories even propose it refers to extraterrestrials (ETs).”
My stint with Grok resulted in five hours and 17,000 words of “discussion,” which I’ll use in the future. For now, being human, I cast a wide net when doing research. While It (he? Grok) is trained to be somewhat circumspect, whereas using my intelligence, such as it is, I attempt to step outside the hardwired box of my intellect.
Because this is Easter it required much due diligence, including a recent but thorough study of the Christ Letters (you can find them online yourself) but on second thoughts, you can choose, or not, to try this link. https://christsway.co.za/
It was there that I learned much more about the interplay of electricity- electromagnetism – and the All-encompassing Consciousness withIN which all of creation resides, lives, evolves, changes.
IT (as one might call it, for it certainly has no physical attributes at all) is as invisible to us as the air we breathe – yet it keeps us alive. At our level, invisible souls inhabiting physical bodies from time to time, from life to life, we too have consciousness – and, if you are able to accept that we are uniquely individuals, we too are genuinely the children of IT – the source of Being. The children of God.
As for the idea that all things have Intelligence, suitable to their life form, from plants to animals to ants and butterflies, this closing video may be as enthralling for you as it is for me – for it encapsulates, without words, that which I have attempted to express in this article.
It’s only 1 minute and 44 seconds, so you may wish to play it more than once. I certainly did.
Sincerely,
Best wishes,
Michael Knight.
