When mankind had been around a bit (it was Cro-Magnon Man, the ones with brains like the gods and bodies like the gods.)
the young gods finally noticed the young women of Man. They finally figured out that they were sexually compatible. Man had been like an athema to the older gods…they were servants etc…creatures, not people. But after a while that thinking began to subside in the younger gods. If they wanted a human woman, they took them and made them their “wives”. It finally got so that the older gods couldn’t stand it anymore: the young gods were being “defiled”! It was then that the older gods wanted to get rid of the beings they had created. This was not in the early days of Mankind but thousands of years later. It was the older gods that knew a disaster was in the making and they chose NOT to inform Mankind so they could get ready for it. They wanted all humans to die in the deluge and most of them did, at least in that area.
